Description

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Provide pharmaceutical advice and guidance to customers on the safe use of medications.
  • Conduct health checks and offer consultations as part of the healthcare department's services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and industry regulations to ensure best practices.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy staff to create a productive and positive working environment.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates within budgetary guidelines and achieves performance targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee stock management, including ordering and inventory checks, to ensure the availability of essential medications.

Profile

A successful Pharmacist should have:

  • A recognised qualification in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices in the retail industry.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team and lead staff effectively.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the community in Kirkcaldy.
