Pharmacy Manager
Our clients are a long-established, RCVS accredited, independent mixed veterinary practice with an excellent reputation for delivering high standards of care across both Farm and Small Animal departments.
Based in Launceston, the practice enjoys a fantastic location surrounded by beautiful countryside, just 30 minutes from North Cornwall’s coastline and with easy access to Exeter, Plymouth, the A30 and M5.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Pharmacy Manager to join their thriving independent practice. This is an exciting new role within the business, offering the opportunity to shape and develop the position over time while playing a key part in the smooth running of the practice.
The role requires someone highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to use their own initiative and identify efficiencies. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with good numeracy and IT skills, capable of analysing sales opportunities and highlighting potential cost savings. A background in the veterinary sector and/or wider industry would be highly advantageous.
Some of the duties of the role will include:
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and wholesalers
• Overseeing stock control and ordering across the practice
• Managing pricing for new and existing stock
• Analysing current and future sales opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations
• Identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
The role is offered on a 5-day week basis (hours negotiable) with a salary between £40,000–£45,000 per annum (based on a 40-hour week), depending on experience.
